Lillian Weber, a 99-year-old good Samaritan from Iowa, has spent the last few years sewing a dress a day for the Little Dresses For Africa charity, a Christian organization that distributes dresses to children in need in Africa and elsewhere.
Weber’s goal is to make 1,000 dresses by the time she turns 100 on May 6th. So far, she’s made more than 840. Though she says she could make two a day, she only makes one – but each single dress she makes per day is personalized with careful stitchwork. She hopes that each little girl who receives her dress can take pride in her new garment.
She said it!!!!
Mother Dalishia Salter abused her infant son and placed him outside in frigid temperatures. Father David Bryant found his son on the front porch severely beaten and has video proof of him finding his son as he tries to get into the home of ex-girlfriend Dalishia Salters.
Upon coming into the house Mr Bryant says, quote “you hurt my baby” while mother Dalishia Salters is seen and heard in video repeating “Oh well I’ll kill him”. [[VIDEO HERE]]
The Pittsburgh Police have since issued a warrant for Mr Bryant’s arrest because the mother accused him of hurting the baby. Why should David Bryant be jailed for saving his own baby’s life while he has clear video proof he did not harm his baby?
This father and son need justice! [[Petition]]
Police are unaware of video evidence the father posted on facebook
This is sick what the fuck is wrong with the world.
A Texas man is under arrest after gunning down a SWAT team member as the officer quietly tried to climb in through the apartment’s window during predawn hours.
Police State USAreports that a resident fatally shot Detective Charles “Chuck” Dinwiddie as the officer climbed in through a ground level window as part of a “no knock” raid. The officers were there due to suspicion that residents were in possession of controlled substances.
Upon hearing a noise, resident Marvin Louis Guy, 50, opened fire on the unidentified officers, shooting three others as well, although only one fatally.
Guy is currently being held on capital murder charges in connection with Dinwiddie’s death, even though it’s unclear how Guy was supposed to know that the men crawling in through the window were police officers since they hadn’t identified themselves.
The evidence sheet lists a laptop, a safe, a pistol, and a glass pipe, but no drugs were found. Given the evidence, why did police deem it necessary to seek a “no knock” warrant and why did a judge sign off on it?
Very little is known about Mr. Guy, but Dinwiddie left behind two children, all because his SWAT team went creeping into a home where the residents didn’t even have any drugs. Is that the best use of law enforcement tax dollars?
Guy’s bond has been set at $3 million dollars.
Thank you lieutenantnorals!

Introverts, man. We’re weird sometimes. Like, “I love you, but I need to go over here by myself right now.”
There’s so many parents who treat their kids like property/ objects. The kids are just there for them to live vicariously through them. They want to control their every decision and move. Their kids have no such thing as autonomy.
As a result the kids turn into insecure and indecisive adults who don’t even like or love their parents. It wasn’t physical abuse, but it was continuous emotional abuse.
How A Dissolvable ‘Tampon’ Could One Day Help Women Stop HIV
University of Washington bioengineers have discovered a potentially faster way to deliver a topical drug that protects women from contracting HIV. Their method spins the drug into silk-like fibers that quickly dissolve when in contact with moisture, releasing higher doses of the drug than possible with other topical materials such as gels or creams.
“This could offer women a potentially more effective, discreet way to protect themselves from HIV infection by inserting the drug-loaded materials into the vagina before sex,” said Cameron Ball, a UW doctoral student in bioengineering and lead author on a paper in the August issue of Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy.
The UW team previously found that electrically spun cloth could be dissolved to release drugs. These new results build upon that research, showing that the fiber materials can hold 10 times the concentration of medicine as anti-HIV gels currently under development.
